Appointment of Firm to Conduct Classification Review

Following a formal contract proposal process, CATCA /CAW Local 5454 and NAV CANADA have appointed Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu as the firm to conduct the classification review mandated in the Outhouse report.

Deloitte impressed upon the Oversight Committee their commitment to membership involvement and to an open transparent process.

The Oversight Committee met with Deloitte on Saturday to provide them with the initial information that they required to get the process underway. This included establishing communication strategies, interview and visit guidelines and logistics.

Our next planned meeting will be in the second week in May at which time we will assess the progress made to that point.

The Oversight Committee will not be conducting the review. That is the responsibility of Deloitte. The Oversight Committee will ensure that that the process is meeting objectives, to provide resource information to the firm and to ensure that member or company issues are dealt with.
